Meet The investigators

Don Gallico
Raised in Brooklyn, until his parents took him to see the traveling circus. He was fascinated by the stage magician and ran away to follow them and asked to apprentice for the Astonishing Archibald.
After becoming an adult, he returned home to find a destitute family that couldn't make ends meet, and turned to becoming a cat burglar doing jobs for the mafia.

Clarence Noble
Born in Detroit. His mother, Clara, died during child birth. His father, James packed up and moved in with his Sister and her husband in Pittsburgh and opened a garage. Clarence would visit his father's shop daily after school and soon was working with him. After a couple of years both going to school and working in the shop, Clarence began wanting more out of life. A chance to see the world and joined Wrath's Circus of Wonders in 1919 as their mechanic.

Jack Marquette
Boston born, he works as a Private Investigator and considers himself quite the adventurer. He feels guilty for leaving his sister to raise 2 children alone after being widowed in the war - but his thirst for exploring is too great. He's traveled extensively abroad and has seen his fair share of fighting while working his way through war zones.

Sayed al-Ameen
Lifelong resident of Cairo and an avid student of Egyptian history. He shares much of his earnings with his parents, Saif and Hafsah, who he adores. After finishing his degree, he spent time on multiple archaeological sites in the area and was eventually offered a position at the Egyptian Museum, working under Dr. Ali Kafour, whom he considers almost a second father.

Arthur underhill
Born in Boston, he had an insatiable hunger for knowledge. He moved to England to pursue his higher education and eventually settled in London, marrying a woman named Lillian. At first their life was idyllic. Soon enough, he found his way to the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. His occult studies lead him to witness the summoning of an mindbending being by a secret cult. His obsession eventually drove away Lillian.

Everett Day
A member of the Society for the Exploration of the Unexplained at Miskatonic University, Everett traveled the world finding archeological treasures. Everett was eventually introduced to Mr. Robert Ripley who published some of Everett's odd findings as his own within the “Believe it or Not” panel. The University vowed to secretly ruin Ripley for the slight on Everett and the Society.

Yan Niang Lee
His father was trained by monks before becoming a cop in Shanghai. At 8 years old, his mother was murdered by the Order of the Bloated Woman so he was left at the Shaolin monastery his father was raised at. In 1918 the monastery was attacked by the same cult, killing over half of the monks. He joined the police force and worked his way up to detective - but was forced to resign after a cult related matter and became a private investigator.

Everett Mayes
Originally from Virginia, he has travelled to the unpopulated places around the globe as a Big Game Hunter and currently calls Kenya his "home". While on safari in Africa near the Congo he came across 2 baby albino gorillas - and procured them for a wealthy patron in China named Madam Sparrow. She has summoned him to Shanghai to keep an eye on another of her investments.

Milo Bucket
Born on the USS Olympia just outside USA as his family moved from England and raised in the south Bronx as the youngest of 4. Mylo always had a great sense of adventure. Mylo and his brothers joined the western Allies through the Canadian army - and was the only one to return. He is currently working for a quarterly occult magazine as a freelance Journalist and has been pressed to go on this search for a long-lost Pyramid by the magazines' Editor who has offered Mylo a permanent column.

Harley Shrimpton
A rich Dilettante that collects and is fascinated with Guns and Automobiles. He has always been a bit of a Futurist and saw "something" by the seaside. He has now turned his efforts into discovering the Truth behind it. He has short curly hair and a prominent overbite. Bespectacled. Wears English tweeds with pockets full of trinkets.

Ted Dinah
Born in Bolton, Lancs. He showed an early aptitude for things mechanical and took up a steeplejack apprenticeship under his elder brother. The Earl of Derby who became a sometime patron, introduced him to fellow members of the nobility. It was perhaps inevitable that these contacts would lead to invitations to join expeditions to the Arabian peninsula. Ted finally agreed to join the expedition of Bartholemew Cholmondley III, but the expedition vanished during his boat journey to Cairo.

Jean Luis Bertrand
Originally from Cannes in France, he is a callous nationalist who was trained to work as a hitman for his country - always putting the needs of the state above his own. His travels brought him to Shanghai - and he was convinced that China's political upheaval could mean bad news for France (and Europe). He joined up with a private militia and helped to train their members.
